About this tool
Every ecosystem has its own naming religion: constants in SCREAMING_SNAKE, variables in camelCase, classes in PascalCase, CSS classes and URLs in kebab-case, database columns in snake_case. Renaming a list of identifiers by hand is ten minutes of pure tedium per language boundary. Case Converter ends it: paste any text — a phrase, a variable name or a whole list, one item per line — and get every common casing at once: UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case and CONSTANT_CASE, each with its own copy button so you take exactly the one you need. A slugify output joins them, turning arbitrary titles into URL-safe slugs with punctuation stripped and spaces dashed — handy for naming blog posts or file downloads. The word-splitting logic understands existing boundaries: camelCase humps, underscores, dashes and spaces are all treated as separators, so converting between conventions in either direction works instead of producing one long mashed word. Multi-line input converts line by line, which makes it practical for renaming a whole column of identifiers exported from a spreadsheet. Everything happens in your browser, instantly, with nothing sent anywhere — so internal codenames stay internal.
How to use Case Converter
- Paste or type the text to convert — a single identifier or a multi-line list.
- All casings render at once: UPPER, lower, Title, camel, Pascal, snake, kebab, CONSTANT and slug.
- Press the Copy button next to the casing you need.
- For lists, keep one item per line and each line is converted independently.
Frequently asked questions
Does it handle camelCase input correctly?
Yes. Case humps, underscores, dashes and spaces are all treated as word boundaries, so myVariableName, my-variable-name and MY_VARIABLE_NAME all convert cleanly to any other convention.
What does the slug output do?
Slugify lowercases the text, strips punctuation and joins words with hyphens — the format used in URLs and file names, like case-converter for this very page.
Can I convert a whole list at once?
Yes. Put one identifier per line; each line is converted independently and the outputs stay aligned line by line.
Is anything sent to a server?
No. Conversion is pure string processing in your browser. Nothing is transmitted, so internal project names stay private.
